テンポスアキバでは、訪日外国人のお客様を対象とした「包丁研ぎワークショップ」を開催します。

本ワークショップでは、日本製包丁の魅力を「購入する」だけでなく、砥石を使った正しい研ぎ方やお手入れ方法を実践形式で学び、日本のものづくり文化や道具を長く使い続ける考え方を体験いただけます。

当日購入した包丁はもちろん、ご自身でお使いの包丁を持ち込んで参加することも可能です。

【August 7 (Fri)】Experience Japanese Knife Culture – Join Our Knife Sharpening Workshop!

Tenpos Akiba is pleased to offer a Japanese Knife Sharpening Workshop for international visitors who would like to discover the craftsmanship and culture behind Japanese kitchen knives.

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the fundamentals of knife sharpening, including how to use a whetstone, the correct sharpening angle, proper pressure, and techniques for maintaining a sharp edge.

You are welcome to bring your own kitchen knife or purchase one at our store on the day of the workshop.

Who Should Join?

This workshop is perfect for anyone who:

  • Wants to learn how to properly care for a Japanese knife
  • Would like to restore the sharpness of a kitchen knife they already own
  • Wants to learn how to sharpen knives by themselves
  • Is interested in experiencing Japanese craftsmanship and knife culture
